Turns out the storm turned to rain as predicted, and the roads were perfect coming in. I had to take Laura’s Saturn because it was behind me in the driveway, so I grabbed a few CDs to keep me sane during the ride (i.e. so I didn’t have to listen to the damn radio).
Since I have most of my own albums already ripped to MP3 for my car’s stereo, I grabbed some of Laura’s CDs for today. Heard Liz Phair’s Exile in Guyville on the way up, and I’ll listen to PJ Harvey’s Rid of Me on the drive home. Phair’s album sounded like an upset Suzanne Vega and the Meat Puppets got together to make an album, but don’t ask me to explain further.
Laura’s staying home from work today, she’s not feeling well at all. She kept mu up snoring for a good long while this morning too. Hopefully she’ll be ok by the time that we head down to Louisiana.
It’s too early to have the first floor already hooked up with the 2nd monitors. I’m going to have to pace myself a lot better this week. I think I want to try cleaning up this pig-sty of an office too. We’ll see how that goes… later.
