OK, get this. I call last night and am told by the NOC that there’s nothing that they can do because the router is down. I’ll have to go to it and reboot it so they can connect and see what’s up.
So that’s what I do. I come in this morning, reboot the router and give them a call. Now, the guy I get on the phone says that there’s nothing he can do while the router is up and running. What the hell is going on here? I get the guy’s name and a ticket number so that the next time this happens I’ll get something out of it.
All I wanna do is install the tax updates to the server. Is that a friggin’ crime?
Anyways, Laura has a book group tonight so it’s going to be me, mac and cheese and the final downloaded missions of Splinter Cell tonight. Oh, and maybe a tax software update, but I’m not gonna hold my breath.
