I’m getting fed up with my stupid Blaupunkt car stereo not reading MP3 discs all the time. So, I thought that I would either get it fixed, or get a new one.
Well, it looks like it might cost a minimum of $100-120 to get it fixed, so I traveled over to Crutchfield.com to see what they had available. Wow. These are some of the ugliest faceplates I have ever seen in my life. They either have huge buttons or tiny pin-top size buttons. There aren’t any decent displays tho illustrate the ID4 info as it scrolls past, they all look like the od-school LCD handwriting I’d expect of Joshua from War Games.
I was going to link to some of the more heinous offenders, but it’s just too depressing. A decent attempt is this Sony, but this Panasonic is almost too good. Damn. But, of course, it’s also a bit too expensive. Bah.
