Well, the stump is still in the ground, fragments of the former branches are strewn about, but there’s not a whole hell of a lot I can do about it today, as it’s raining. Went to the Home Depot to get a pickaxe and some more lawn bags, so as soon as things dry out, I’ll finish this out.
The cookout yesterday was great fun, it’s always nice to see Amber and Michelle. (Even when Amber is completely dominating in her new favorite game, horseshoes.) :^) I felt that we left a bit early, but it was hard having gotten up for the hippy wedding. We’ll stick around longer next time.
Last night, our neighbor across the street shot some fireworks off over the river. We’re almost close enough to see the city’s fireworks over the trees from our yard, but this was even better as they were right there in front of us. You could hear people from neighborhood yelling out in excitement for all directions as each volley went off. That guy must have felt like king of the day.
