As it turns out, I was able to pick up the new car last night, and I must say I like it quite a bit. There was a little apprehension going in as I had never seen the actual car itself before I bought it (I had seen similar ones however), but it all turned out well.
Interesting thing I noticed: In 5th gear at 3000 RPM:
Protege - 60mph
Civic HX - 75mph
Of course, as soon as I get a new car, it snows. Gonna be kinda messy tonight, so I might have to wait a few days to get floormats, little things like that. Also have to get a stereo installation kit in order to put my MP3 player in the thing. All in good time…
Thinking about selling my Jackson RR3, but not quite sure how to go about it. The guitar is great, and certainly is pretty, but I don’t like the Floyd Rose system, and would be happier with something else.
Laura says eBay, but there’s something about that whole scene that turns me off. One big obstacle there is that it’s a pretty bulky object in the hardshell case, so shipping might be a pain in the butt. I dunno, I’ll have to look around and see what my options are…
