Yeah, so it took two hours of driving in some nasty, snowy weather, but the Umass vs. Xavier game yesterday afternoon was well worth the effort. UMass took the win in not one, not two, but THREE overtime periods. Hell of a game.
Afterwards, Erik, Hoj and I went to a sports bar in Amherst to celebrate with beer, chicken wings and a few rounds of some wireless video trivia game. I managed to win a couple of matches against some other local denizens, but we all would have done better if we knew more about Broadway musicals. Oh well, there are some sacrifices I’m just not prepared to make.
Laura picked up the soundtrack and DVD of Garden State this weekend. Good stuff. She also grabbed a copy of Shawn of the Dead, which we have yet to see — but it has zombies in it, so how bad could it possibly be?
