I’m sitting here almost all day yesterday at my desk, trying to get my new RSS feed to work with Bloglines inbetween putting out fires at work. Meanwhile, every validator on the planet is telling me that it’s valid, and all of the other methods I use to view the feed work. I decide to call it a day, and see what happens with a little time.
This morning, I check Bloglines to see what’s what in the world…
First off, nothing has changed on my new feed. It’s still blind to reality, and looking to stay that way. Secondly, a friend’s feed — who, ironically, had been gracious enough to try to help me figure this whole thing out — doesn’t work either. He made a post yesterday, and it doesn’t show up at all. Not even if I ask nicely. It must know that he tried to help me, and subsequently sabotaged him as well.
So, in conclusion, to hell with Bloglines.
I’m going to link my PHP created RSS feed on the reviews page, and that will be that.
For those of you reading this entry somewhere down the line, you probably got here by clicking on the question mark link that I placed near it. If, for some reason, the linked RSS feed doesn’t work for you (as you use Bloglines or some similarly retarded feed reader), use this feed instead. I can’t promise it will be as up to date as the PHP driven one, but it should at least display something.
