I signed up for one of those music clubs a while back in order to fill in some of the blanks in my collection, and I got an email from them this morning. Every month, there’s a CD that you have to refuse up front, else they bill and sent it to you automatically. It’s annoying, but they accept returns and offer refunds without fuss. Anyways, the email told me that their featured selection for this month is… Cinderella’s Greatest Hits.
Cinderella? Greatest Hits? I know those words, but I’ve never seen them placed in that order before. Most of the track listing is a mystery to me, but I believe I see something else behind this move. This music service has finally figured out the trick to lowering those return postage charges. Make the featured selections stuff that no one wants, and more people will take the time to opt out.
How very crafty.
Spending most of this weekend celebrating my father’s 60th birthday, starting out with dinner tonight and ending with his sisters in Connecticut. Happy birthday, Dad.
