If you haven’t already, be sure to vote Johnny Damon in as one of the 2005 AL All-Star center fielders. He sealed the deal on last night’s win with a late inning home run and a great catch for the final out. If Embree and Foulke weren’t so shaky it wouldn’t have been as necessary, but luckily for us, the Sox have guys who can perform well in clutch situations, even when the bullpen self-destructs.
Got a monsterous amount of yard work done on Sunday. I mean, we really cut through a lot of the remaining overgrowth. Unfortunately, I’m still paying for it as of late as this morning, as my legs are still sore. At least I didn’t get sunburned.
This coming weekend, Michelle and I are planning on driving out to the Western MA Highland Games. I have no idea how she finds out about these things, it must be some kind of supernatural gift. Laura isn’t making the trek, partially because she doesn’t harbor the same desire to watch men in kilts throw hammers, but mainly because she has an event to work that afternoon at the bookstore. Or, at least that’s the story she’s sticking with.
