Just bought a new CPU for my current motherboard (a Giga-Byte GA-7VAX). I had added more RAM a little while ago, but I think that with this processor upgrade, my PC will run a lot smoother than it does now. Just sixty-nine bucks, and I’ll have faster computing without all of the big purchase guilt that comes with a brand new box.
Got started on the virtual hockey trophy that Rob and I plan to be trading back and forth this season. Of course, after my win this past weekend (coming back from a 7-3 deficit), I don’t think the name on the bottom of that trophy is going to change anytime soon.
Yeah, that’s right. It’s called hubris, and I don’t care.
As for the trophy’s design, it’s very early, but I have a lot of ideas that I want to incorporate while being sure not to steal Lord Stanley’s thunder. Some ideas include: placing it in a rink background, three sucessful defenses = hats being thrown from crowd, fireworks, etc.
We’ll have to see if my skills can match my ambition.

I’m sure you do, those li’l things rock. I’d just feel really guilty about buying one with the impending “Death by Heating Bill” to come this winter.

Eventually, yes. Sometime around the time when a good game or two comes out and stock is plentiful. I’m what you call a CAG, and the 360 isn’t what I’d call cheap.
In the meantime, I’m setting myself up for the absolute glut of pre-owned Xbox games that are going to be everywhere. I’ve started a list of older games I want to play through before I move up. I played a great demo of this game called Indigo Prophesy, and have to follow up on that as soon as the price comes down a peg.
Of course, after all of my talk, I could crack as soon as next week. I’m not so good at guessing my own next moves.
