Too much.

What a crap week it’s turning out to be. Phone problems at the office continue. Now that we’ve fixed the outbound calling, direct inbound calls aren’t getting through, and some voice mailboxes are acting screwy as well. I can’t win. A power outage early this morning didn’t help my mood much either, the UPS kept the majority of servers running long enough for me to start the shutdown sequences… at which time the power came right back. (I believe I have already mentioned something about not winning.)

The good news is that half-day Fridays start this week. The problem with that is that it actually has to be Friday to have any effect. Tuesdays do nothing for me. Nothing.

The Red Sox had another one of those “Where’s Will’s phone number so that I may taunt him?” kind of games last night against the Yankees. Here’s to the hopes that it becomes a continuing trend.

  1. Manny Sucks

We’re not doing too bad considering we have lost our starting outfield (though Damon is the DH). If Matsui and Shef had been playing we would be at least tied for the lead of the AL East. And I think our pitchers just have to work out the late May slump they are in.

Seems like all sorts of pitchers are going through slumps lately, Sox starters included. Now that Crisp has gotten past his kidney stone (ouch) and his finger is getting better, perhaps he’ll be coming back soon too. Two months is a long time. Shef’s back tonight, no?

I don’t wanna talk about David Wells/Lenny DiNardo. It’s almost like we don’t win either way. However, I am excited about the fact that I actually like Clement over Johnson tomorrow. How weird is that?

  3. Manny Sucks

I’d pick Bob Feller over Johnson tomorrow if the Sox decided to trot him out. I assume he is still alive. Hell a corpse would out duel Johnson right now. Maybe we need to dig out Walter Johnson. I hope Clemens sees how much we need him.

It does sound like Shef is coming back tonight. Not a moment too soon. They made it sound like Crisp was coming back soon as well.
