The Bruins traded Joe Thornton last night for three players from the Sharks. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the Nomar trade, where a huge trade was made, and then a championship quickly followed.
However, I don’t know that this is the way this one is going to turn out. I hesitate to think that trading the captain of the team away is the best way to handle a losing streak, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see, and hope for the best.
I just hope it’s not the Sharks who hoist the cup this season. Oh wait, they’re in the cellar of their division too.
Risky trades? …it’s called Bruins.
