Laura had one of my birthday presents, the season one DVD set of Shilling Shockers, delivered last night by Rebecca aka Luna 13 aka editor/co-director/photographer/webmaster/every other damn thing for the show. It was nice to meet her, and I appreciated her taking the time out of her busy schedule to stop in. Haven’t yet had a chance to check out the discs and look for all of the hidden “Beaster Eggs” (a moniker I can’t help remind me of Sugar), but I’ll be sure to do so soon.
One thing I forgot to do was ask her if perhaps certain folks in Virginia or Arizona could sponsor the show to air out there on local access TV… You know, just in case they were so inclined.
Her visit also reminded us that we need to get our tickets to next month’s Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival, which Penny will host. Looking forward to Horror Business and rolling my eyes through what looks to be a very campy Die You Zombie Bastards!
(Oh, and I guess we could meet Gary Klar too and… what? Thank him for nearly ruining Day of the Dead?)
According to the countdown I have ticking away on my Google homepage, there are only 98 days to go until the kid arrives!

You do realize that the baby doesn’t have a calendar in there…right?

You can’t prove that it doesn’t. Meanwhile, we’ll just have to politely remind the little one of its cues.
As everyone in the office keeps telling me, “as long as it’s born before the end of the year so you can take the deduction…”

I am so inclined.

Very interesting… OK. I’ll drop them a note and see if it’s at all possible.

Again…I don’t think the kid cares a tiddlywink about taxes either.
