Breathe, damnit!

Laura and I took a CPR class before heading off to the film festival this weekend. Feel free to choke on something or mysteriously stop breathing the next time you see us, and we promise to seriously consider attempting to save your life. Depends on our mood, really.

The rest of the weekend was spent either being lazy or cleaning out the house. I took a rather hardline pass at our crawlspace, and threw out a bunch of stuff that I’m pretty sure I don’t need anymore. I love doing that. Excess “stuff” bothers me to no end. Laura also took her turn through my closet, and picked out all the stuff that doesn’t fit me, or, in some cases, that I never even knew existed. The clothing and shoes are headed for the Salvation Army, the rest, to the dump.

Today is the Columbus Day holiday, yet I am at work. The October 15th tax deadline is next Sunday, so the office is open, trying to get everything out the door in time. Me, I’ll stand out of the way and let people work, putting out small fires as needed. Once the deadline passes, I have some software updates and configuration changes that I need to get done, but can’t touch much of anything until then.

I wrote the outline of a goofy little script that I wanted to film, but have since fallen out of love with it. At this point, I’d probably just do it for the practice in using iMovie, but when I first got the idea, I thought it might be actually be somewhat entertaining to boot. Who knows, maybe I’ll get the urge to scratch that particular itch again.
