Since it’s been so long since I’ve had a new computer, I decided to check out a couple of demos to see how they played. I remembered liking Half-Life a lot, but the sequel didn’t grab me. However, I also tried out DEFCON, which showed a lot more promise.
Really now, who wouldn’t want to play Global Thermonuclear War? Sure sounds a lot more fun than “Falken’s Maze”. Unfortunately, I rather suck at strategy games, so I don’t know that I’ll be playing any further than the demo.
Debating whether or not to grab the 64-bit RC2 release of Vista. Never run a 64-bit OS before, and don’t feel like installing the CD I have of 64-bit Ubuntu just to re-discover what I already know. (None of the apps I need run on it.) Perhaps I’ll make a drive image and then give it a shot. That way, it won’t cost me any more than a blank DVD and some free time.
Review number two of the horror six pack is now posted. Check out The Church.
