I’m Frickin’ Chatty Today
The Bruins sent me a voluntary survey conducted by students at New York University “concerning the branding campaign of the Boston Bruins 2005-06 season”.
Get a load of this freakin’ question, keeping in mind that this is only question THREE:
Which of the following best describes your sentiment as a Boston Bruins fan?
- “The greatest gift my father ever gave me is my love for the Bruins. To me they are more than a team. They are my heroes, they are my brothers, my compatriots, my life.”
- “The Bruins open a portal to a world beyond our borders. The team and my association with it make me a citizen of the world.”
- “When I watch their heroic acts, I feel their courage, I feel part of their struggles and their triumphs!”
- “Watching my team, I find myself and lose myself. They give me all the reasons to cheer and sing with all that I am. My life is richer and more complete because of the Bruins.”
- “Every April my city comes to life, the bars are a buzz, the news is about us and our Bruins charging into the playoffs!”
OK, so where’s the option for normal people? You know, those of us who aren’t ready to take a bullet for the team?

Holy frijoles!
I’d give this survey one star out of five.
