I watched the Super Bowl last night long enough to see two things:
1. Prince
He was really the whole reason I tuned in in the first place, and I enjoyed seeing him perform. At first, when the entire stage exploded I was a little worried the little guy might have gone up in smoke, but the Purple One was fine.
The musical montage he played was OK, but playing “Purple Rain” in the rain? Whole new level of great. (Kudos also go to his dancers who didn’t slip once in their heels on that wet stage.)
2. Boris
Sobaka star Boris Kievsky appeared in a Bud Light commercial with Carlos Mencia. Didn’t have any lines, but I recognized him immediately. Didn’t quite believe it at first, had to rewind and see it again, but it’s him. The commercial is horrible, but I guess that’s besides the point.
