Hooray! The new Bad Religion album finally has a name, album art, a track list and most importantly, a release date: July 10.
In the meantime, I’ve just been informed that I’ve been selected for Federal Juror Service in Boston. My “on call” schedule is from May 29 through June 15.
They must have somehow known that the only two events I had planned this entire summer fell in between those dates. My brother closes on his new house on May 29th, and I was supposed to go to a conference in Vegas June 10-12. I might still be able to help Jaymz move, but I was really looking forward to the conference to get some feedback on the whole “new office in Boston” thing from other firms.
On the bright side, I’ll get to drive into Boston! WOO HOO!

Isn’t there a way to postpone it? I mean, they can’t expect you to give up your job to do jury duty. Look on the bright side. At least it’s not Grand Jury duty.
But if you’re in Boston, we’ll do lunch or something.

Not unless I have a “hardship”.
“Federal grand jury service ordinarily lasts eighteen months.”
No thanks, I’ll take the three weeks with a smile, please.
