- Mastodon — Leviathan (10 Tracks)
- A couple days after I got last month’s downloads, eMusic released this, because they knew I really wanted it and they knew I was out of downloads to get it. Metal with a Moby Dick theme? How could I say no, living so close to New Bedford? Jokes on them. It’s mine now.
- Cat Power — Moon Pix (11 Tracks)
- Not the wild card of the month, but close. If I don’t get into it, perhaps Laura might.
- Lifter Puller — Fiestas & Fiascos (12 Tracks)
- Craig Finn’s band before starting The Hold Steady. The Hold Steady are great, so I’m more than willing to give a listen.
- Witch — Witch (7 Tracks)
- Dinosaur Jr.’s J Mascis makes a doom metal album. Umm, OK. Wild card pick of the month.
