The Great Guitar Hero II Swindle
The first downloadable tracks for Guitar Hero II have been released. There are three sets of them for sale:
Pack One:
- Bark at the Moon (Ozzy Osbourne)
- Hey You (Exies)
- Ace of Spades (Motorhead)
Pack Two:
- Killer Queen (Queen)
- Take It Off (The Donnas)
- Frankenstein (The Edgar Winter Group)
Pack Three:
- Higher Ground (
Stevie Wonder Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- Infected (Bad Religion)
- Stellar (Incubus)
First of all, none of these are the master tracks. They’re all covers. Secondly, they’re 500 MS points ($6.25) per pack. I have just over 2800 points in my account—thanks to KB Toys’ mysterious generosity—and I still don’t think I’m going to shell out for any of these.
I might crack later, but for now, screw that. I’ll just play… TROGDOR!!!!

Weak. No Maiden.

“The Trooper” is in the game proper, but no, no Maiden for download.
I think “Phantom of the Opera” would kick ass though.
