Well, the Yankees just managed to avoid another sweep to the Sox this weekend. They snapped their seven game losing streak on Saturday, only to start up another one on Sunday.
The Yanks ended April with a record of 9-14, good for last place in the division. (The Sox are on top at 16-8.) Maybe now there’s a slight possibility we can stop hearing about how well A-Rod played over the first month. Then again, he did land the 2003 MVP while Rangers finished in the cellar, and people still seem to give a damn about Barry Bonds, so who knows. Baseball is weird like that.
