June 2007 eMusic Downloads

There were two newer NOFX albums made available on eMusic just a month or so ago. Today, they’re no longer available for download in the US. I don’t like this, it makes me feel rushed.

Bob MouldBody of Song (12 Tracks)
eMusic recently also made all of Sugar’s albums inaccessible for subscribers in the United States. I assume that this is a record label influenced decision (Rykodisc) and not one made by Mould himself, but I’m not going to take any chances, grabbing this while I still can.
Frank BlackFrank Black and the Catholics (12 Tracks)
Been meaning to play catch up here for a long time now. Problem is, he releases at least one per year, if not more.

The first single for the new Bad Religion album New Maps of Hell has been made available this week on eMusic, making me think that the album in full will also show up later this month. In-store release date is the 26th, so I’m reserving the remaining sixteen of this month’s downloads in the hope that it appears.

Edit: Ah, crap. I forgot to update my calendar properly, and screwed up the release date for the new BR. It streets on 7-10, just before my subscription replenishes, so here’s how I spent those sixteen extra downloads.

UnsaneVisqueen (11 Tracks)
Mmmm… NYC post-hardcore/noise rock. You might know them from their older video with all of the painful looking skateboard bails.
PavementWatery, Domestic (4 Tracks)
An EP released between Slanted & Enchanted and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain.
MeshuggahI (1 Track)
When you’re caught in a month with only one download remaining, you might as well make the best of it. This is a one song EP, but that song is over 20 minutes long. Ah ha!
