Slow Goin’

Been playing with the site design, as some might have probably already deduced. CSS makes the doing easy, but it certainly doesn’t assist with the imagining. It is times like these when I just have to step back and bow to the power and glory of true graphic designers. Apparently, being related to/friends of doesn’t quite have the same creative effect as being one yourself. Damn.

Not much happening to speak of. Henry got sick last week, followed by my own short bout of illness this past weekend. Friday night was the worst of it, I fell asleep early while Laura was out visiting a friend. Normally, having the house to myself like that (save for the sleeping child upstairs) would be impetus for all sorts of video entertainment-related debauchery, but alas, it just wasn’t going to happen.

Thankfully, I may be getting another shot this coming Friday. Received word today that Rob picked up Rock Band this afternoon, and this should be enough time for my blister to have healed. Not that it would necessarily stop me, mind you, but there’s something to be said for granting a couple of weeks in these situations to let such physical ailments settle. I’ll remember to remove the ring anyways.

Now that The Wire (and before that, Deadwood and The Sopranos) are over (until August), I’ve actually had the time to watch some movies. Readers will note that I used the verb “watch” and not “review”. Long story short: CACHE — Surprisingly gripping and thoughtful. JUNO — Funny, but not bulletproof.

    Oh. Happy Father’s Day (belated).

Did Henry get you some drumming gloves?

Thanks. No, no gloves, but I did get a hat. Unfortunately, my head is astronomically big, so it didn’t really fit…

I hope I’m not too late.

I’m trying to stay on top of so many friend/family projects right now that it’s actually the BEST time to hook up for a project like this. July 1st has been my goal to bring a bunch of stuff online with many sights that I’ve been working on, and since I do intend to have links and info about LaTour Creations on one of my sites, we should do something about your style!

    How may I help?
