Sailing Newport
Our company outing this year took the form of sailing in Newport, meaning that I got to do two things that I rarely get a chance to experience:
- Sail on a racing yacht.
- Have the shortest commute of everyone in the office.
I volunteered to help in whatever way I could. Mostly, my help took the form of working with the sails, which—had I had the chance to think about it beforehand—are as heavy as one would expect.
The majority of the trip, however, was far more relaxing.
