Broken Face

Well, this is depressing. The good luck mask that my friend Matt brought me from Japan–best known as the logo on this website for a good long time–fell off of the wall and broke this morning.
The only thing lucky about it this time was that it didn’t fall on anyone’s head.

For my birthday this year, given my proclivity for Rock Band drums, Laura got me a month’s worth of drum lessons. I just called and made my first appointment for this Wednesday after work.
I hope they go well. I haven’t taken a music lesson since high school.

Break-ups are hard.
After listening to—and shortly afterwards, deleting—a downloaded copy of Metallica’s last attempt at an album, I questioned whether or not it was possible to ever come back from such a lackluster showing. Then it happened. Bob Rock, (a.k.a. band cancer) was dropped as producer.
